Transporters at EAMC are more than just your average employee. They assume total responsibility for patients while they are en route to their destination, which includes elevators or remote areas that are isolated from patient areas. Destinations include radiology, room transfers, or even taking patients to their car upon discharge home. Transporters also take meal trays to and from patient rooms and work closely with nursing staff to ensure patients arrive at their destinations safely. They work in a fast-paced environment and work directly with patients and staff. MCTs or multi care techs are a vital part of the EAMC team. They assist in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. They communicate with the care team to provide coordinated, safe and compassionate patient care. The MCT role includes such activities as taking vital signs and helping patients with basic activities of daily living such as eating, bathing, and assisting nurses with vital procedures for the well being of the patient. Care Assistants at EAMC work primarily at our assisted living facilities. They work closely with the nursing staff to help geriatric patients with activities that they can no longer do on their own. The care assistant utilizes information to continuously improve resident care and enhance outcomes. Registration Representatives perform numerous tasks and spend most of their day assisting patients on the phone and working diligently to ensure data is entered into the computers correctly. They register patients accurately, efficiently, and professionally, to ensure data integration and to facilitate the claims process. Teamwork and customer service are very important in this role.
